POLISH AND SLOVAK TEENAGERS AND TEACHERS COOPERATION PRESERVING THE CULTURAL VALUES OF THE BORDERLAND REGIONS
From the 11th till the 23rd of July, there was a tandem Polish and Slovak language school held in Zakopane, Poland. The school was for the students from Gimnazjum in Muszyna and Leonard Stockel Gimnazjum in Bardejov, taking part in the project called POLISH AND SLOVAK TEENAGERS AND TEACHERS COOPERATION PRESERVING THE CULTURAL VALUES OF THE BORDERLAND REGIONS.
As soon as we gathered in the bus, we already knew that there was going to be a great fun! We liked the place where we were living, Tatra House, from the very beginning. Our teachers soon presented us with the plan – creating a Polish and Slovak dictionary – as well as other attractions waiting for us.
Polish students studied the Slovak language and Slovak students studied Polish in small groups, and thanks to the perfect organization, just after some days, the dictionary was finished and we could enjoy the pure fun! We visited Krupówki, many museums and the ski-jumping hill and of course went sightseeing. We also went for some walks in the mountains to Gubałówka, Mała Polana, Morskie Oko, Czarny Staw, Przełęczce Liliowe and Kasprowy Wierch. We also spent plenty of time playing football and volleyball, sunbathing at the swimming polls and making bonfires in the evenings. And we can’t of course forget the dance course with Mister Staszek and the rope park. We also liked the evening (not to say night) gathering on the terrace.
No one noticed when the thirteen days were over and we had to come back. But it isn’t strange as we were all having such a great time. We are all looking forward to the next trip together.
